【Global Times】Political and legal organ of CPC vows crackdown on criminal acts disturbing social order and infiltration by hostile forces

Political and legal organs should promptly dredge and resolve conflicts and disputes to help solve people's practical difficulties, resolutely crack down on infiltration and sabotage activities by hostile forces and illegal and criminal acts that disrupt social order, in accordance with the law, and earnestly maintain overall social stability, a key meeting of the political and legal affairs organ of the Communist Party of China (CPC) vowed on Monday.

The Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee held a plenary session on Monday, which was presided over by Chen Wenqing, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee.

The session stressed that political and legal organs should take strong measures to implement the guiding principles from the 20th National Congress of the CPC and resolutely safeguard national security and social stability.

Focusing on the requirements for political and legal work in the report to the 20th CPC National Congress, members of the commission studied the tasks, objectives and specific measures that the political and legal organs should implement.

It also asked the political and legal organs to be clear about potential dangers and strengthen fighting spirit, speed up the building of a safer China and a China under the rule of law at a higher level, and guarantee Chinese path to modernization with the modernization of political and legal work.

Meanwhile, the meeting stressed the need to follow the people-centered philosophy, improve political awareness and enhance political judgment, understanding and execution.
