On the morning of 23 June, Dr Wang Yuan, Secretary-General of Chengdu Institute of World Affairs and Director of Chengdu Institute of World Affairs' Fullerton Centre Wang Fang, and Lu Jian, Professor of International Business School of Southwest University of Finance and Economics visited the new Consulate General of Pakistan and had a friendly meeting with Mr Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood, Acting Consul General of Pakistan in Chengdu.
Chengdu Institute of World Affairs is preparing to launch the Pakistan Investment Report and the Pakistan Tourism Guide with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu. The Consulate General gave strong support and recognition to the work of CIWA. At the end of the day, the two sides enjoyed a cup of Pakistani milk tea together and made arrangements and prospects for the next research work.
Chengdu Institute of World Affairs is the first private think tank in western China to study international issues, and Pakistan is an all-weather friendly and brotherly country of China. Promoting cultural exchange, investment and trade, and international tourism between western China and Pakistan will help the people of both countries to improve understanding and develop together.
